About the Project
What do we really know about what it feels like to be a student, and what contributes to making students thrive?
Through traditional surveys such as the Student Health and Wellbeing Survey (SHoT), we have a good understanding of how many of our students are struggling. However, we find that we know less about what makes them feel content, and experience mastery and meaning in their lives. To prevent mental health challenges and to strengthen student well-being, it is crucial to gain knowledge about more than just problems and symptoms - we need to start talking to students about their everyday lives!
Experiences are meant to be shared, and as a student, you are the expert on your own life. That’s why a diverse range of students has been involved in the project from the very beginning. In My Experience (IME) aims to expand knowledge about students' quality of life and mental health by asking the students themselves about their experiences. Student life is more than just numbers, and we are working to learn more about what creates quality of life.
- Let´s create health-promoting student lives together!
